‘Arthurian Tales’
Morgan Le Fay, 2024
Often depicted as a chaotic witch, Morgan’s real claim to fame was her healing waters saving King Arthur and ushering him to Avalon. For this rendition, I focused on emphasizing her water magic as a sorceress by giving her a twin fish-Pisces familiar, and maintained her fairy roots by having an orbiting wisp (using a feline skull inside, as an homage to her first familiar as a fledgling witch in training.)
Palamedes, the Saracen, 2024
Palamedes adorned in Questing Beast armor from the Arthurian legends. The Questing Beast was originally thought to have the head of a snake, leopard body, lions haunches, and deer's feet. Supposedly, this was just a medieval description of a giraffe. Whether it was or wasn't, here's my take on Palamedes slaying it and more or less becoming it, as an homage to Aleister Crowley's version of the story.

A roman legionary that still serves the goddess Minerva long after most have forgotten her. She speaks to him through the relic flute that he holds and he does as instructed. The owl motifs are a reference to Minerva’s wisdom as well as the helmet’s modification to look like her helmet. The face of Saturn decorates the shin guards as Minerva was born bursting from his head; his face always being below everyone is a reminder of that defiance.
Callouts feature the sword, dagger, owl motif, travel bag, flute, greaves, tasset (w/ key,) axe, and bracers.

Gulmira the Nullsighted, 2022
Originally known as ‘The Poached Child,’ Gulmira proved herself as a skilled falconer and resilient fighter of the Crimean Khanate. When she first attuned with Max, her golden eagle, Gulmira made a choice to take on his blindness in exchange for his trust and cooperation. After both were bound together, Max chose the burden of taking on Gulmira’s emotional weight. In doing so, Max would grow larger and more robust in size. Gulmira had come a long way, but her journey hadn’t even reached the end of its first stretch.
Madam Guilt IX, 2022
The Ninth Magistrate of Forlorn Vindication. She has never given a ‘not guilty’ verdict in her career. Her impartiality was as fleeting as the sobriety of a life-long alcoholic. The classic balancing scales have been melt down into scale mail bracers; the scales all maintain the same direction, to suggest an unchanged opinion. The sword of justice is tethered to the smiting mallet, with a chain for ease of use, and to propagate its unique sound as her imminent arrival.

For witches in the cult of Yule, no season brings them greater joy than Winter. As the solstice strikes, each devotee finds a way to exonerate themselves by praising the Horned God, in a way that she sees fit. Each year, one of these vessels is chosen by Him to return to his dominion and birth the next horn that all will worship.

Design for a monk archetype. Initially created to fit into the world of ‘Fifth Season of Entropy.’ As a follower of Etienna, he serves as both guardian and devout servant.
Wrath of Deo, 2021
Humans destroyed the Earth so much that it set off an immense rage inside of Deo (Demeter, the Greek goddess), causing a cataclysmic reaction — along with a thorough decimation of the surface. The ground swallowed civilizations whole, fires burnt through forests, and many simply turned to specks of charred dust. Now, on her journey to bring life back to a dead Earth, Deo slowly spreads a healthy amount of green and some scarlet red for good measure.
Shani, God of Karma, 2021
My somewhat modern interpretation of the Hindu God of Karma. If you're good, he'll share some of his black sesame balls on his famous trident! If you're bad, his scepter-adorned bat is looking for some company. Shani’s ornate shoes feature a crow in reference to his famous mount, while the hanging feather allows it to always be in flight. The blue sapphire on his head is his first wife that he keeps with him at all times. Furthermore, the endless knot is the Hindu representation of Karma, the lajwanti flower was his favorite flower (many similar garbs feature floral prints), and the bow n’ arrow print on his wrist references 2 things that he always held in his arms (sometimes seen with 4 arms.)

Legatus Maximinus Thrax, 2021
The first to become a barbarian emperor of Rome. Born of humble origins as a low class Thracian, with his name derived from the son of Ares. Despite being emperor, he never actually returned to Rome due to his continued German campaign. History might have been very different, had he returned to his throne alive.
Different Roman armor archetypes, ranging from common soldier, to centurion, to legate. The legatus armor seemed the most appropriate and was explored the furthest before settling on the final design. The final piece incorporated various barbarian elements into a somewhat typical legatus armor set. His shin guards are painted with leg bones with the typical Roman swirl flourish inside of them; his cheek guards also mirror this style with mandible bone paint. His chest armor has a common emperor’s chest design, but reworked to have the horses be all skeletons. The helmet and bracer have various motifs of the Roman god Mars. Below his gladiator’s glove are teeth of his enemy commanding officers’ (hanging on his sword’s hilt.)

Fifth Season of Entropy, 2021
Linh “Etienna” Vivaldi, the mute stage mime who returned to the family trade of music. After thieves steal the original sheet music to the ‘Four Seasons,’ Etienna pursues them across neighboring borders. With each successive retrieval, the latent abilities are unlocked inside of her. Unable to be satisfied with just the Four Seasons, Etienna searches for a Fifth that was rumored to be able to give her a voice. The only lead she had was a place ‘above the clouds and beyond the storm.’

Mycelium Marauder, 2021
The Mycelium Marauder is the proud leader of the Boletus Buccanneers. She always finds a way to stay out of direct conflict with law-abiding nations and takes advantage of their civil strife. By reaping the land of its mycelium, the marauder absorbs networks of information to sell to the opposing side.The cantankerous, antisocial behavior is only tolerated due to her father's diplomatic ties with tribes that secure the outskirts of the region.
The canada jay is the perfect choice for companion when compared to the masochistically shrill parrots that lesser pirates often use. As a part-time fungivore and opportunist, the jay seeks out any mushroom that is unfortunate enough to enter its sight.
Elias the Maharlika, 2021
Many of the gods felt that he had unfinished business worthy of watching, so Jose Rizal was brought back as Elias, the Maharlika warrior. Losing the Battle of Manila in 1570 was what caused the Spanish rule in the first place, and this time, it wouldn't be lost.
As a warrior who practices mangkukulam, Elias raises the souls of fallen soldiers and Spanish conquistadors to do his bidding. His favorite soul in particular, is calling upon Ferdinand Magellan, who was killed and taken by Filipinos during the Battle of Mactan (1521.)
This would be the first of many campaigns that Elias leads in his attempt to change the fate of his nation and its relationship with its aggressors.
Hushed Storm (Kepler’s Pull), 2021
Starting a day like any other, the siblings leisurely explored Kepler’s forests without restraint or supervision. Having spent every day since birth with one another, both were quick to aggravate and annoy one another. Neither could have predicted that this would be one of the last moments that they shared before a violent separation of 32 years.

Jill, a general contractor obsessed with nursery rhymes, digs deeply into her mind's eye to actualize what inspires her and unearth her societally proclaimed truth. As an optimist, Jill finds a way to discover humor and a positive outlook for her past, despite the literal rocks that fly out at her frequently. She has a kink for inappropriate situations in heels too.
Forest Biome (Kepler’s Pull), 2021
For a rain forest, there was a surprisingly low amount of pools of water present before the lamia arrived. Once they did, however, their beaver-like dams and altars to themselves changed how one must traverse under the trees. You never knew if it was simply a deer molting behind the tree or something far more sinister.
Colony Year 8 (Kepler’s Pull), 2021
As bustling as an established colony on Kepler 452 b could be, life was calm and moderately taxing. Research into the unique atmosphere and strange happenings of having only female life forms on the planet was going well. Unfortunately for those there, this would be cut short in a mere 3 years.
Colony Year 11 (Kepler’s Pull), 2021
Who would have considered that the disappearance of one boy could result in the fall of a world’s finest civilization. A traumatic event was the catalyst to an even larger calamity for the colonists. The composition of the air on Kepler allowed the flames to burn for years, completely devastating the ecosystem.

Painted myself as a Gemini Variant of Loki after really enjoying the show! Naturally, with an asymmetrical design for Loki, I gave myself two Alioths at the gates to the end of time.
Clerical Terror (Redux), 2021
Spelunking in the local caverns requires a dedicated clergyman in the party to exorcise the unburied bones of deceased men. The minister nearby owns the Lance of Longinus along with an aspergillum that has a bottomless pool of holy water. Under hushed voices, the demons anticipate each of his arrivals with vast numbers, but each secretly wishes that he doesn’t visit them too soon.
Last Vision of Freyja (Redux), 2021
In the midst of a stagnant battlefield, an orb filled with deep red blood descended from a pillar of light. After a sudden flash, an eyeball dropped into the pool of blood and the murders of crows erupted into gales of feather. With each pop of poultry, a new memory was bestowed to Freyja. She knew that it would all be over soon.
Lamia Progenitor (Kepler’s Pull), 2020
The amalgamation of an original Kepler 452-b settler and a snake parasite’s genome. She has aggressive behavior towards human-grown vegetation and uses the trees to create religious altars. Having a strong foothold near the exoplanet’s forest biome, the lamia frequently kidnap the children of settlers.
IEF Conservationist Patroller (Kepler’s Pull), 2020
Tasked with maintaining planetary habitability of Kepler 452-b. His armor filtrates the high carbon dioxide of the exoplanet’s atmosphere. The native lamia population must be culled in order to maintain Earth’s presence in the region. He is armed with a harpoon gun due to how ineffective beam munitions are on the local threats.
